About the Client

Devil’s Lake State Park hosts more than 2.4 million visitors a year. The nonprofit Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park contribute their minds, muscle, and money to ensure the Park remains a vibrant, unspoiled jewel of nature.

Project Goals:
  • The Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park were looking for a creative way to announce their new fundraiser for a state-of-the-art Devil’s Lake State Park Visitor Center.
  • A highly traveled location in the existing visitor center was the ideal spot to engage guests in the fundraising efforts. It would include eye-catching branded environmental signage with renderings of the new Visitor Center and an interactive donation center.
  • The signage would incorporate natural elements that complemented the park’s geography while bridging the gap between nature and technology.
  • A digital display meshed into the signage allowed for a real-time display of evolving information and project updates, while an easy-to-scan QR code encouraged real-time donation opportunities.
