Nature: The Original Health Hack

When’s the last time you took a quiet walk in the woods? Or felt the sand between your toes as you walk along the beach? Or experienced the majestic beauty of a national park? For some of us, these moments are few and far between.

Taking a break from the deadlines, and screens, and the endless scrolling, can make a huge impact on your physical and mental health. And it turns out that nature is just the “break” we need.

Are you ready to embrace nature, but you’re stuck inside?

There’s a hack for that. Looking out your window or gazing at nature-inspired artwork is enough to give your nervous system a nice little boost, similar to practicing yoga or meditation. If you’re tied to a computer like our design team, this tip is a must when you need to unwind.

We love this hack so much that our graphic designers created some inspirational art, featuring some of our favorite national parks. Check out our new posters below for a fun way to give your space some love!

How does spending time in nature benefit your health?

Are you ready to walk away from the desk, put down the phone, and start exploring the great outdoors? The benefits are well worth the effort. Time spent in nature (as little as 15 minutes a day) has been proven to help decrease anxiety and improve memory and quality of sleep. And who doesn’t need better sleep these days?

Feeling stuck on a new creative design or you just can’t shake the writer’s block? Several studies have shown that exposure to nature can help boost levels of creativity. And being creatives ourselves, we can tell you this one really works!

And let’s not forget benefits like increased Vitamin D exposure and improved immunity. Spending time in nature does wonders for your immune system. We’ve all heard the saying “nature is the best medicine,” but did you know that trees and plants actually release airborne chemicals that help them ward off disease? And better yet, their antibacterial and antifungal properties benefit us when we inhale them.

Take a walk on the wild side

Nature truly is a wellness powerhouse, but it’s time for you to do your part. Step away from the screens and take a walk. Hug a tree. Buy a new plant for your office. Or maybe plan a trip to one of those national parks we can’t get enough of.
